Condolences

Condolence From: Joanne Rohats
Condolence: Carol Anne was a great neighbour and fun to play with as a child and as an adult I was honoured to call a friend.

Condolence From: Ann Gun-Munro (Hazel)
Condolence: Dear Lois and Ric,
I was so very sorry to hear of your loss of Carol. A friend alerted me to the tribute in the Toronto Star. Although it has been so many years since we have seen each other I have never forgotten the days when our families would visit in Woodstock. I remember Carol as a cute little thing back then. I also remember talking to her at Phil's service and she had grown up into a lovely person. I am sorry that I did not know in time to attend her service but I am sending you my deepest condolences and will pass your sad news onto Ray and Bev. You will be in our thoughts and prayers.
Yours very Sincerely,
Ann

Condolence From: Peter Price
Condolence: It is with great saddness I read of Carol Ann's passing in the newspaper today.I Met Carol many years ago in the parking lot of Myles laboratorys when I joined the Etobicoke Lancers.
A flood of memories fill my mind going back to those days. They remain some of the best times of my life. You I and other Lancers formed a freindship and bond that lasts a lifetime. What I remember most about you Carol Ann is your passion, compassion and that wonderful smile! We were a close group then.
As time marched on and our lives went in different directions the bond of our friendships from that time remained. Although our paths did not cross that much over the passing years, when they did, that feeling, that bond was always present. Your passion remained and your compassion never wilted and your smile blossomed. You Carol Ann are an indelible happy memmory in my mind that will remain forever.I thank you for your friendship, your passion and your compassion!Play on Girl.
With much love

Condolence: For the past eleven years, I played in the Sunnybrook Court Jesters with Carol. No matter what percussion instrument she was called up to play - bass, snare, cymbols, she was there to do. I don't know that I every saw her where she wasn't happy. She will be missed.

Condolence: I was fortunate to know Carol for a few years when I participated with the Optimist Alumni.

It was always an energizing experience to see her passion for the drum corps, whether it was at rehearsals or at performances.

Carol loved being on the drum line and it was instantly recognizable if you watched her body language when she performed. She enjoyed the camaraderie of her fellow base drummers and the collective efforts of the entire drum line in concert with the remainder of the corps. She was a dominant leader but in a calm and quiet way; when something needed to be said, she knew exactly the right words to use, and people listened.

It was always a pleasure to see her enthusiasm for the corps and I know we all learned a lot from her teamwork approach.

Carol, we miss you.

Condolence: Carol, we were brought together so many years ago by our love of music and performance at the highest levels in the Etobicoke Oakland Crusaders. I will remember you always for your quick smile and enthusiastic welcome each of those far-too-few times we met over the years. My sincerest  condolences to your family and many friends.
