A favorite professor

I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed him as a professor at NMU. I signed up for soils class as an elective that I expected would be boring and tedious. What a surprise I got! Truly one of the best classes I have taken at any level. I only knew him for that one semester but the impact was lasting and I count him in my top 2 of favorite professors/teachers. It's not fair that a guy so full of life is gone so soon. I am so sad for you the family but I can only imagine the happy memories that you will all carry of him. He was a special guy. I'll never forget him. ...A grateful student
