Condolence: My deepest condolences and my sincerest apologies for not being able to attend the funeral.

We have many fond memories with Johnny. My fondest memory with Johnny is when Ray and I were able to bring him to New Orleans to see Pistol Pete play. It was a lifelong dream of his to watch him and we were very happy to make it happen for him.

The Broussard Fair will never be the same without his inspirational smile. Johnny never met a stranger and always had something to say.

We know that he is no longer suffering and will be watching over us all with Ray.

Condolence: Until he moved to Camelot, I knew Johnny only as an acquaintance through Mike. But within the first few weekly visits, he became a dear friend. We most often talked about our longing to get to Heaven, his having a glorified body when he got there, and our conversations with Jesus; we shared the same aching to be in His embrace. I always told Johnny that I'd be jealous if he got there first. But, now, I'm much too happy for him to be jealous.

Of the books I read to Johnny, his favorite, by far, was "Heaven is for Real." He LOVED that book and so did I... So we read it twice.

I will surely miss him.

Johnnie will be missed by all who knew him. He & I used to talk many, many times about sports people and the teams that we both loved and both had in common (the Celtics, Yankees & mostly the LSU Tigers!). Him & I could talk all day about his idle & mine--'Pistol' Pete Maravich. He was so proud of all of his Maravich jerseys that I framed for him--he was always worried that someone was going to STEAL them and all of his Beatles pictures from his room..Hahaha.
Chris, Bill, Johnnie & I had many good times together when him & Bill would come make their 'Sales Calls' on us!
Those are all great memories I have of him that I will NEVER forget!
My family and I will keep you all in our thoughts and prayers.
I will certainly miss him very much!

Condolence: johnnu was a sweetheart I remembver the first time i met him at PSC. it seemed like yesterday. He always brought a smile to my face. We evened schared our birthday many years together. He will be greatly missed by many. May you fly high with all the angels Johnny Love, Kim Duet
