My Friend
i first met Virginia at a workshop held in Abilene. It was strange because I was there as a parent seeking answers to my troubled son. We began talking in the parking lot. We talked, it seemed like hours. I did not know that she was a teacher in Sweetwater, same as me. When school started she would be the teacher for Shane. She taught him for 2 years. It was like an angel had followed Shane to the 4th/5th grade. We did so much together at this time; we went to San Antonio twice and took these students. What a trip!!! We also held a skeet shoot in Kurt's honor. I remember those day so vividly. She treated me like a daughter. When I did good she always praised me but when I did something she did not approve of she always let me know. She was a dear friend, a great teacher and a lovable "Stepmom." I will miss you dear friend! Love you!
