Obituary for Anna Gallagher

Anna Gallagher, age 87 of Georgetown, formerly of Mineola, passed away on Thursday, August 31st, 2017 in Georgetown. She was born on February 6th, 1930 in New Brighton, Pennsylvania to Rudolph Rombold and Katherine (Hoey) Rombold. On June 2, 1950, She married Alvin Gallagher in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania. In the early 1960’s Alvin and Anna, along with their two young children, left their home in Pennsylvania behind, they took a train to California with no promises there. They established their family and careers in California and raised their family. After her California career working in the Cabin Service Department of Continental Airlines She became a dedicated Homemaker. A trip to Texas helped them find their new home, in Mineola, a landscape that resembled the east coast landscape they grew up with. Anna was a member of First Baptist Church in Mineola, she was a woman of strong faith, and had an unconditional love for all in her family, and her friends.
She was preceded in death her husband Alvin, her parents as well as Five brothers and sisters.
She is survived by a Son and Daughter-in-Law, Patrick and Ann Gallagher of Alba, Texas; Daughter and Son-in-Law, Kathleen Gallagher and Jim Payne of Georgetown, Texas; Brother, Bud Rombold of Pennsylvania; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Graveside Services will be held on Sunday, September 3rd, 2017 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens 5396 S. State Hwy 37 Mineola, Texas 75773 at 2:00 pm, Dr. Mark Neeley officiating.
