Elenore Mae Benton, 90, of Andrews passed away on Monday, October 24, 2016 in Andrews.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life at 10:00 AM Thursday, October 27, 2016 at McNett Funeral Home Chapel with Leslie Boone minister of Andrews Church of Christ officiating. Interment will be in Ralls Cemetery at Ralls, Texas Thursday at 3:00 PM under the personal care of McNett Funeral Home of Andrews. Elenore was born on August 13, 1926 in Visalia, California to Homer and Mary Leeper McGorray. She married David L. Benton, Jr. on April 7, 1946 in Fresno, California. She moved to Lubbock in1952 and lived there until 2009 when she moved to Andrews. She was a member of Parkway Drive Church of Christ in Lubbock where she was very active with the Classic Group. She loved sewing for her family and making clothing for them. Elenore was preceded in death by her husband David on August 12, 2001, two daughters, Barbara Morrison and Darlene Bewley.

She is survived by two daughters, Marilyn McDonald of Andrews, Marlene and husband Jim Outlaw of Bastrop, Texas; one son, David L. and wife Dottie Benton of Valparaiso, Florida; one brother Jim McGorray and wife Judy of Windsor, California; 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
