Obituary for Ann Elliot Johnson (Elliot)

Ann Johnson 79, passed peacefully from this world on Thursday, December 22, 2016. A Memorial service will be held on Monday, December 26, at 11:00 a.m. in the First Central Presbyterian Church with Dr. Janice Six officiating. Arrangements handled by North’s Funeral Home, 242 Orange St.

The daughter of J.C. and Nina Elliott, Ann was born on July 30, 1937. She was raised and attended school in Munday, Texas. She married the love of her life, Jerry Johnson on January 20, 1956 in Munday, Texas. They lived in Canyon, Texas for a short period of time, before settling in Abilene in 1958. Ann and Jerry were long time members of the First Central Presbyterian Church in Abilene. Ann was also a very active member of the Abilene Woman’s Club for twenty-seven years, where she participated in the GRQ Investment Club. She was an active member of both the Abilene Garden Club and the Abilene Garden Gate Club. She and Jerry were also very avid travelers and shared a great love of antiques.

She is survived by her husband Jerry Johnson, of sixty years and eleven months. Two children; Criss and Julie. One brother, Robert Elliott and sister, Martha Kay. Four grandchildren, numerous in-laws and other extended family.
