Bradley H. Katz, 86, formerly of Reading, passed away on Wednesday, November 7, 2018, in his home. He was the husband of Patricia A. (Witman) Katz, who passed away May 8, 2010. Born in Reading, PA , he was the son of the late Howard J. and Evelyn D. (Wolf) Katz. Bradley was a graduate of Reading High School in 1949. He was a very faithful Christian and past member of St. Matthews UMC in Reading and Arnolia UMC in Towson. Bradley also was a member of Beauseant Commandery No. 8-Knights Templar in Cockeysville, MD, American Legion Post #6 in Seaford, DE, Howard Lodge #101 F&AM, Royal Arch Masonry Chapter #40 in Elkridge, MD, Boumi Shriners of Baltimore, MD and Boumi Shriner's Legion of Honor of Baltimore, MD. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was employed as the district manager for Zayre Corporation in Washington, D.C. retiring in 1989. Bradley is survived by two sons, Jay M. Katz of Seaford, Delaware and Joel M. Katz of Mars Hill, Maine; one daughter, Joy M. (Katz) Steckel of Bel-Air, Maryland; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Visitation with family and friends will be held on Monday, November 12, 2018 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with services beginning at 11:00 am in Lutz Funeral Home, Inc. 2100 Perkiomen Avenue Reading, PA 19606.
