James Oscar  Kalka
James Oscar Kalka, 84 of Quitman, TX died on January 5, 2017 in Quitman, TX. He was born on Tuesday, October 4, 1932 in Bandera, TX to the late Henry and Susan Kalka.
He was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Mineola, TX.
James was preceded in death by his wife Susan Kalka; four children, James Jr., Christopher, Kay Elizabeth and Deborah Susan.
He is survived by two daughters, Mary Dexter and husband John of Quitman, TX, Cynthia Holden and husband Jim of Gaston, OR; sister, Ethel Smith of San Antonio, TX; three grandchildren, Jennifer Skavhaug, James Gray, Christopher Moore; four great grandchildren, Emily Skavhaug, Cole Moore, Joshua Moore, and Zane Moore.
Visitation will held on Sunday, January 8, 2017 from 6 to 7 PM at Beaty Funeral Home in Mineola, TX, Rosary will follow at 7 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, January 9, 2017 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Mineola, TX at 1 PM officiated by Father Lawrence Love.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to either Hospice of East Texas or St. Peter's Catholic Church.
