Condolence: Dear Joanne,

I asked in the church of Nikolausdorf for time for a prayer for your dad. So we celebrated the holy mass on this sunday morning in memory of Reinhard Crone.

In connection to this we met or a prayer in the church afterwards.. Angelika, her sisters and brothers, Klara with her family and our family, Maria, Gerd from Bösel and also Gerda from Bösel joined us with families.

I translated the obituary from the Toronto star for all and prayed a part out of the prayers book. The priest joined us and gave a blessing.

In this way we want to have part of the funeral mass - as we can't be with you on monday.

Maria was very sad about the passing of Reinhard. Also Gerd gives you his sympathy. I hope the church will help all of us to handle it.

This afternoon you will remember. Gerd remembered singing in their rooms in Bösel last summer. Even people of the village in Nikolausdorf remembered him visiting his brother all the years.

I remember your family visits when we were children. Allways a special time.

In the last 12 years your dad and my dad had a special time in autumn when they met. They made long journeys, driving by car to the relatives in Bergzabern or Speyer. First making a stop in Bergisch-Gladbach visiting Gertrud. Going to the mountains at Pertisau at the Achensee. They vitisted Prague and other cities and they had a time for their own. They went to Essen to see the place of their home when they were children. They visited people and cities in the surrounding area too. Reinhard was here when August became 50 and made his party. He celebrated our silver-wedding with us and other highlights in the whole family. He had a good contact to Maria, too.

I liked to invite the brothers at the end of their journey. I tried to cook something special for them and then listen to the stories that happened on the ride.

They had the same way of telling, the same behaviour, the same way of humor - sometimes even the same claims. It was a wonderful time.

Seeing him in summer was great. It was a bit like my father was there. We will miss him, his loving being.

In the afternoon you will share memories at the Marshall Funeral Home. Please share these words with all of you.

I wish all of you strength and confidence for the coming time.

Yours,

Andrea, August, Tobias and Robert

Condolence: Dear Ray,

Your life story already fascinated me as a child.

At the age of 18, you already spoke English, and after the war you also served Germany when you worked as a translator for the Americans.

Then you emigrated to Canada, immediately got a great job, and made your career as a marketing manager in the petrochemical industry. You started a beautiful family.

You were the port on the other continent, who took over the legacy of Uncle Karl. Who will continue your legacy?

We all will keep you in best memory! We will miss you very much!

Condolence: On a better day in the early summer of 1981, Ray, Marianne and friends sailed Sampaguita II on her maiden voyage from Port Credit to National Yacht Club. It was a memorable day for me and one of the happiest for Ray and Marianne. Bon Voyage to our dear friend Ray, may you have fair weather and smooth sailing in eternity.

Condolence: I was very sad to hear of the passing of Ray. I have had the pleasure of being an acquaintance since the early 1970's. I say acquaintance but Ray was the type of gentleman that you knew he was your friend. Our days go back to the 7th Thornhill Scouts and Guides along with his dear wife Marianne. The last 17 years he has been my neighbour at Inverlochy Blvd. To his Family and Friends my condolences, I know how deeply he will be missed. Rest in peace Ray.
