Loyce Norma Jean Tyler, 78, of Gardendale, Texas passed away on Monday, February 6, 2017 in Odessa.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life at 10:00 AM Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at McNett Funeral Home Chapel in Andrews with Rev. Terry Easley officiating. Interment will follow in the Andrews Old Cemetery under the personal care of McNett Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 7th, from 5-7 PM at McNett Funeral Home. Loyce was born on July 8, 1938 in Blackgum, Oklahoma to Alby Leonard and Mary Sylvia Davis Matlock. Loyce married Carl Don Tyler on June 23, 1986 Loyce lived in Gardendale for many years where she was very active in the First Southern Baptist Church. She was a private duty nurse and had also worked at Medical Center Hospital ER and Seabury Nursing Center in Odessa. She loved gospel music and like to listen to Jimmy Swagart. Loyce was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Leon Matlock and a sister Gladys Crawford.

She is survived by her husband, Carl Don Tyler of Gardendale, two daughters, Diane Nichols, and Jeanie Vargas both of Oklahoma; one brother Kirby and wife Cathy Matlock of Tulsa, Oklahoma, a twin sister Joyce and husband Ray Randell of Gardendale.
