Sherry Irene Tignor (Hallagin)
Sherry Irene, Tignor, 66, Independence, MO passed away Feb. 4, 2017. Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 am, Friday, Feb. 10 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, 10109 E Lexington Ave, Independence, MO 64053; interment at Mound Grove Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 9:00 am before Mass at the church. The family requests contributions to the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association Heart of America Chapter. Sherry was born March 1, 1950 in Independence, MO and was a life-long resident. She graduated from St. Mary’s High School and was a long-time member of St. Ann’s Parrish where she attended services every Sunday. Most of all she enjoyed being with her family. Sherry was preceded in death by her husband David C. Tignor in 2016. She is survived by daughters Kimberly Brown and husband Scott, Caney, KS; Kelly Sartin, Independence, MO; her mother Irene Hallagin, Independence, MO; sisters Deborah Thompson, Montrose, CO; Patty Boyle and husband Craig, Kansas City, MO; brother Michael Hallagin and wife Becky, Paola, KS; sister Tammy Barr and husband Larry, Independence, MO; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
