Obituary for Marlin Boyd Ort

Passed away Monday Feb. 6, 2017 at Rose Arbor. Marlin was born in Grandville, Pa. the son of the late William and Hazel (Butler) Ort. Besides his parents Marlin was preceded in death by three brothers Vance Ort, William Ort and Hubert (Ray) Ort. On July 1, 1953 Marlin married Mary Mearing who survives. Also surviving is one son Warren (LouAnne) Ort, one granddaughter Kathleen Ort, one grandson Cale Ort, two great-granddaughters Bailey Ort and Avery Ort. Marlin worked at The Upjohn Company retiring in 1992. Marlin received the Upjohn Award in 1989. Marlin was a thirty-second degree mason which he was very proud of both accomplishments. Marlin's family would like to thank Dr. Rogers, Bronson Commons and Rose Arbor for the wonderful care he received. In accordance with his whishes cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be at the Masonic Lodge at 4173 W. U Ave. Schoolcraft, Mi. A lucheon will follow at the Eagles 11611 Shaver Road.
