JUAN LUERA GARCES
EDINBURG- Juan Luera Garces, 75, went home to our Lord Wednesday, February 15, 2017, at his residence in Edinburg,
Juan was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed the country living, hunting and working on his ranch; Moreover, Juan took delight in taking his grandchildren and neighbors children to perambulate in a small tractor around the farm. After 12 years of her departure to heaven this Wednesday, Mr. Garces reunited with his beloved wife, Maria Socorro for eternity.
Juan is preceded in death by his wife of 35 yrs., Maria Socorro Garces; and five siblings, Elena Garces, Isabel Garces, Santos Garces, Guadalupe Garces and Armando Garces.
He is survived by a daughter, Maria Lourdes (Horacio) Ramirez of Mission; two sons, Mauricio Garces, Armando (Cyndi Reyes) Garces, both of Edinburg; six grandchildren, Angela Garces, Amanda Garces, Clarissa Garces, Armando Garces, Jr., Noe Ramirez, Christy Ramirez; five siblings, Andrea Garces, Ernesto Garces, David Garces Tyler, Felix Garces, and Anita Ramirez Tyler.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Friday, February 17, 2017, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 9 a.m. Saturday, February 18, 2017, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
