Obituary for Clyde Elliott Sr.
Clyde Elliott, Sr., 82, of Grayson passed away Friday, February 24, 2017 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Huntington, WV. He was born September 16, 1935 in Grayson a son of the late Wallace and Eliza Buckler Elliott.
Mr. Elliott was a member of the Church of God in Greenup and he worked for Raymond J. Hughes in Huntington, WV and later worked as a union carpenter.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Vicky Gail; three brothers, Jerry, James, and Orville Elliott; two sisters, Beulah Davis and Geneva Banfield.
He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Joan Bartrum Elliott; a son, Clyde Elliott, Jr. of Grayson; two daughters, Connie Rodgers of Grayson and Elizabeth Smith of Crown City, OH; three sisters, Lois Clark of Flatwoods, KY, Beatrice Fast of Silver Springs, FL and Virginia Henderson of Mechanicstown, OH; seven grandchildren, Christina Mae, Matthew Aaron, Jessica, Kelly, Adam, Stephen, and Corey; several great-grandchildren.
Mr. Elliott requested no visitation or services. His family is honoring his request. Arrangements by Spark Funeral Home in Grayson.
