Obituary for Arlyn Carl Anderson

Arlyn Carl Anderson, 82, died Thursday, February 23rd at the Versa Care Home in Placentia, California after suffering from a stroke.

He leaves his daughter, Kathy Connors and her husband Robert, and his son, Douglas Anderson and his wife Laurie, and also four grandchildren, Dylan, Christopher, Jacob and Kyle.

Born and raised in Albert City, Iowa, he was the son of Leroy and Juanita (McDowell) Anderson. After attending Iowa State University and serving in the Army Core of Engineers, he and his wife, Doreen, moved to California, residing in the Bay Area and then in the San Fernando Valley.

Using the architecture degree he received from Iowa State he worked in the glass industry designing and furnishing glass to primarily large office buildings, but other projects as well.

Mr. Anderson had a passion for working with wood and glass and many projects came out of his workshop over the years. He was also an avid bowler and golfer pursuing these passions with family and many friends over the years.

A memorial service will be held on March 1st at the Oakwood Memorial Park.
