The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Rachel Discepola can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Rachel Discepola
Rachel Nancy Discepola, 88, of Ocean township, died on Friday, March 10, 2017. She worked as a bookkeeper and in personnel management. She was born in New York City and lived in Oakhurst. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Plinio Discepola; her parents, Joseph and Mary Pappalardo and 3 sisters and 3 brothers. Surviving are her three children, Dr. Joseph Discepola, Andrea Plotts and Dr. Patrick Discepola; her grandchildren, James, Gregory, Rene, Joseph, Andrea, Patrick, Paul and Rachel and 12 great-grandchildren. Services are private. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
