Obituary for Myrna L Maygren (Kloppenbert)

Myrna was born in Seattle WA, Feb 16, 1936 to parents Howard and Mabel Kloppenberg. She was the middle child between sisters Janice and Judy. Her and her family lived in Seattle until moving to 29 Palms, California in 1951. It was there that Myrna would finish High school, become 29 Palms Beauty Pageant Royalty, and meets and marry the man of her dreams, Wally Maygren. Myrna met Wally while Wally was stationed at the Marine Corp base, and soon married. Wally always teased that Myrna picked him because he owned the car him and his buddies were in when they met. Myrna and Wally just celebrated 60 yrs together last June 24th, so it must have been one heck of a car.
Myrna and Wally had two adorable children, David Wallace, 1957, and Dana Lynn, 1960. Myrna, Wally, and family lived in the Los Angeles area for 10 yrs or so, Duluth Minnesota for about a year, before finally settling in Washington state, (Moses Lake and East Wenatchee).
Myrna worked for the Moses Lake school district for a few yrs as a cook, then spent the next 35 yrs owning and operating Purina Feed stores with Wally, in Moses Lake and East Wenatchee.
Myrna inherited a love for gardening from her mother, that Myrna would enjoy her whole life. Actually anything that got Myrna out in the sunshine, gardening, camping, boating, swimming pools, lakes, and oceans,(and next to Wally) was when she was happiest. Myrna enjoyed and loved her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great, great grandchildren. Myrna and Wally enjoyed many friends, and when Dave and Dana were growing up, Myrna treated their friends as family also. There was always room for an extra couple of plates at Myrna’s dinner table. Myrna loved music, all kinds (except Rap, didn’t really love Rap lol), and always believed that laughter was the best medicine.
Myrna left us March 15, 2017 to be rejoined with family and friends who had passed before her. We will always miss Myrna’s "live and let live" attitude, and her love , and her laughter..... always her laughter.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 24, 2017, 1:00 pm at Heritage Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, East Wenatchee and conclude at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery. You are invited to leave memories and condolences on her online guestbook, www.HeritageMemorialChapel.com . Arrangements are in the care of Heritage Memorial Chapel, East Wenatchee.
