The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Jessie Bethel can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence: I just learn of Mrs. Bethel’s passing. I was her aide at Alamo, TN in the 60’s when the school was first integrated. She was a great teacher and I loved her for all the lessons she taught me. My husband was a preacher fir the Church of Christ, and we kept up with each other when he preached at Skyline in Jackson. After we left we moved several times in a short period of time, so I lost touch with her. I am sorry fir your loss. She was loved by many.

Condolence: My deep condolences to the family and many friends, so sorry for your loss. Please find comfort in knowing that God will soon resurrect our dear loved ones (John 5: 28-29). Oh how we look forward to that time when pain, suffering and death will be no more, the former things will pass away! Please read Revelation 21:3-5.

Condolence: Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints. Psalm 116:15
Auntie completed what she promised God she will do, and she did it in the company of God’s people and worshiped in the House of the Lord.
You will grieve, but your grief will turn to joy. Memories of Auntie will sustain you through. Sorry we wont be able to travel for the service, but our hearts are with you. We are keeping you all in our prayers.
