Alma Ormand Carr, 93, of Stephenville, passed away Saturday, March 18, 2017 In Stephenville.

Funeral Services will be held at 10 am Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Don Parker and Sam Mangrum officiating. Interment will follow at the West End Cemetery in Stephenville. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 Tuesday at the funeral home.

Alma was born on August 16, 1923 in Stamps, Arkansas to the late Ocie Lee and Bessie Jacobs Ormand. She married the love of her life, Leland Carr on July 25, 1943 in Stephenville and he preceded her in death on February 1, 2002. Alma has resided in Stephenville since 1943 working as a bookkeeper for Flowerland and Shannon Supply. Her primary calling in life was as a devoted and loving wife and mother. She taught herself to cook and sew to care for her family. She was a Christian and was a member of the Graham Street Church of Christ for 74 years.

Survivors include her 3 children, Jim Carr, Frankie Carr Howell, and Carol Carr Moring; and also a son of her heart, Ronnie Moring; grandchildren, Jeni Crow Anderson and Donny, Janie Carr St Don and Tom, Robyn Carr McMullen and Steve, Mike Carr and Jennifer, John Crow and Bonnie, David Crow and Cherie, Tamantha Carr Brooks and Keith, Julie Howell Mangrum and Sam, Jason Howell and Dawn Perrone, Ginny Moring Warden and RT, and Matthew Moring and Emily; 30 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, JD and Lanie Sue Ormand of Stamps, Arkansas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leland Carr; parents, Ocie Lee and Pearl Ormand; brothers, Bobby Ormand and Bill Ormand; daughter-in-law, Tommie Mohon Carr; and two great-grandchildren.
