Obituary for Edna Show (Duckworth)
Edna (Duckworth) Show was born June 6, 1917 in Lee Center, Iowa. She was the daughter of Frank and Ellen (Reed) Duckworth. At an early age the family moved to Iowa Falls, Iowa area. She attended a rural school near Iowa Falls.
On May 29, 1935 she was united in marriage to George Show in Grundy Center, Iowa. The couple made thier home in Iowa Falls, Iowa. George worked for the Rock Island Railroad and in 1939 he moved the family to Estherville. In 1945 the family moved to Superior. George passed away on October 28, 1959.
Left to cherish Edna's memory are her four children: Mardelle (Leonard) Howard of Estherville, Maurice (Charlene) Show of Estherville, Marvin (Patt) Show of Fremont, Nebraska, and Marvella (Doug) Shatter of Renner, South Dakota. She has 20 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, and 18 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, six brothers and two sisters.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciated all memorials be given to the Good Samaritan Society in Estherville.
