Gladys Mary  MacIsaac
MacIsaac, Gladys- age 74, of Yarmouth, N.S. passed away on March 21st, 2017. Born in Yarmouth on April 17th, 1942 she was the daughter of the late John and Ada (Atkinson) Deveau. Gladys lived in Ontario for many years where she worked at Extendicare Nursing Home in Oshawa. When she moved back to Yarmouth she worked at the Nakile Home for Special Care. In her spare time she enjoyed cooking/baking, crocheting, dancing and walks with her dog. She was also a member of the Yarmouth Branch of the Legion Auxiliary. A loving wife and mother she often gave more to others than to herself. She is survived by her Husband Joseph MacIsaac, Daughters; Denise (Guy) Bouillon, Brazil Lake, Cheryl Frost(Myron Goreham), Upper Woods Harbour, Brother; Stan Deveau (Cheryl), Sisters; Rose Duncan, Gloria LeBlanc, Donna Makes and Marina (Wayne) Manser, Grandchildren; Kandis Bouillon(Phil Losier), Jerrika Hubbard(Kevin Northup) and Nicholas Goreham and great grandchildren Aria and Aiden. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her first husband James Frost in 2011; siblings; Burton, Veronica, Doral, Robert and Freeman. She will be sadly missed by her many extended family members, friends, and all that knew her as well as her dog Brindle. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. Visitation will take place Sunday March 26th, 2017 from 2-4 p.m. with prayers at 3 p.m. from Sweenys Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel on Monday March 27th, 2017 at 11 a.m. with Deacon Stephen Bourque officiating. Interment will follow in Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Argyle. Family flowers only please. Donations in memory may be made to the Yarmouth Food Bank.
