Obituary for Lillian B. Jones

Lillian Jones, 87, of Virginia Beach, VA went to be with her Lord Jesus March 24th, 2017 in the comfort of her home. She was born in Knoxville, TN but was a long-time resident of Virginia Beach. A loving homemaker, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years William Jones and her son John Jones. She is survived by five children Jeannie Hamilton, Susan Poore, Nancy Savage, Michael Jones, and Mary Kris Jones; she has 14 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.

She was well known as “Granny Jones” to every child, and she never met a stranger. She was a founding member of Tabernacle Baptist Church

The family will receive friends from 6:00pm-8:00 pm, Monday, March 27, 2017 at Family Choice Burials & Cremations. A celebration of life will be held at 10:30 am, Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at Tabernacle Baptist Church. Burial will follow Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be sent to Tabernacle Baptist Church Missions, 717 Whitehurst Landing Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23464.
