Welcome to the Smith Funeral Home

The Smith Funeral Home was established as the J. Donald Smith Funeral Home in 1955 by J. Donald Smith in Chadwicks. It operated there until 1970 when it moved to its present facility at 3022 Oneida Street in Sauquoit. In 1976, Donald’s son, David, joined the firm and in 1998 the business was purchased by David and his wife, Lori. In 2019, Smith Funeral Home affiliated with Dimbleby Funeral Homes, Inc, a family owned four generation firm. 

The combined resources of Smith and Dimbleby funeral homes will ensure that your family’s wishes will continue to be met.

Family & Friends of Karen McGee As it is I am sure for all of you just as difficult to say farewell to a great woman and cherished Friend. When Dewy and I were having much sickness, Karen came to our Rescue willing to take on any task large or small, and with a smile on her face and love in her heart, would gladly complete the task, even though she was suffering herself. Now I know when I write this, many or most of you have been touched by Karen at some point. I want to say I am so sorry for all of us. When I cried, Karen put her loving arms around me and gave me the courage to carry on. When I was in the Hospital, Karen would leave her group and come to be by my side. Farewell my loving, fun filled Friend and you have made this world, a better place for all of us. Family and Friends alike will carry on because, there could be no better roll model or joke tellers or crazy people. That is part of the reason we loved her and all of you. Thank you Karen McGee we will meet again.
