Obituary for Nikolai (Nick) Gordey
It is with sadness the family of Nikolai Gordey of Smoky Lake, formerly of Wandering River, announce his passing on March 31, 2017 at the age of 92 years.
Nick is survived by his three loving sisters, Nancy Inman, Elsie Babichuk and Anne Boyarski; and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents, Onufrey and Elena; sister, Mary Bourque; and baby brother, Johnny.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Smoky Lake Nursing Home for their compassionate care.
Funeral Rite Friday, April 7 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Pokrova Orthodox Church of Edwand, Edwand, AB. Reverend Father Benny Ambrosie officiating with interment in Church Cemetery. In lieu of other tributes, donations may be made to the Smoky Lake Ladies Auxiliary, P.O. Box 768 Smoky Lake, AB T0A 3C0
