Obituary for Terry Lee Edens

Terry Lee Edens
Terry Lee Edens was born in Greenville, South Carolina, on August 12, 1956, and was the fifth child born to the late Richard and Emma Hunt Edens. He departed this earthly life and entered heaven’s gates on April 7, 2017; he was 60 years old. Terry was educated in the Greenville County School System.

He was united in holy matrimony with the love of his life, Henriette Elaine Hughey Edens for over 30 years. This union was blessed with three children and two grandchildren.

Terry had an unwavering faith in God. He was a devoted member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church. Steadfast in his Christian walk and the epitome of generosity and kindness, he impacted lives globally and was deeply loved by many. His influence will forever live in the lives of all who knew him.

Terry was a printer specialist and pro-boxer in his early years and trained other boxers across the United States. He later created a successful commercial cleaning company called T&E Commercial Cleaning with his wife, Elaine. He cared for his employees and used the business as a tool of ministry and second-chances. Terry also served asOrientation Chaplain with the prison ministry.

He received numerous awards and accolades for his professional and spiritual accomplishments.

Though Terry is no longer physically with us, his loving and kind spirit will forever live in the hearts and lives of all who knew him. Terry loved his family, his friends and his church, but most of all he loved the Lord Jesus. He had a strong personal relationship with his Savior.

Those left to cherish his precious memories are his wife, Henriette Elaine Edens; three children, Alvin (Britton) Hughey, Tierra Edens and Anthony Hughey, all of Columbia South Carolina; two grandchildren Landis Edens of Columbia, South Carolina and Gwendolyn Hughey of Napa, California; three brothers, Richard (Gladys) Edens of Fountain Inn, South Carolina, Russell (Sharon) Edens and Mitchell “Tussell” (Janice) Edens, both of Greenville, South Carolina; two sisters, Linda (Clarence) Edens-Butler and Janice Edens, both of Greenville, South Carolina; his godmother, Ruby W. Hunt of Greenville and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving relatives and friends.
