Obituary for Roy E. Jones
Roy E. Jones Jr. of South Scranton died Monday April 10, 2017 at Allied Skilled Nursing Center following a brief illness.
Born in Scranton he was the son of the late Roy and Rose Hagen Jones. A graduate of Scranton Central High School and the University of Scranton, he proudly served in the United States Army Air Corp. during World War II. Prior to his retirement he was employed by Penndot as a construction manager.
Roy was an avid golfer and enjoyed his privacy.
He was preceded in death by a brother Norman Jones; nephew Patrick Jones.
Private funeral services and interment in St. Catherine’s Cemetery, Moscow will be private at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements have been entrusted and are under the care of the Miller Bean Funeral Home Inc. 436 Cedar Ave. Scranton.
