Life Story for Michael L. Ricca

Michael Ricca, 71, of Oceanport New Jersey, passed away peacefully early Saturday morning at his home. The wake will be held on Tuesday, April 18 at The Dooley Colonial Funeral Home, 556 Westfield Ave in Westfield NJ from 7:00pm until 9:00pm. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10 am at St Helen’s Church, Westfield.
Born in New Jersey to Philip and Vicky Ricca, he lived all of his life in New Jersey.
Michael was a passionate man who enjoyed his boat, scuba diving in the Florida Keys and spending time with his friends and family, and especially his grandchildren. Throughout his life he was a business owner and IT professional. Michael was an intelligent, modern day great thinker and truly enjoyed learning. There was not much he could not do when he put his mind to it.
Michael was extremely loving and proud of his two sons, Danny with wife Georgina and Todd with wife Kristen. He is also survived by his grandchildren Daniel, Jeremy and Melissa; his partner Lucille and his best friend Rick Hauk along with his brother, Sal Ricca and Sal's wife Ronnie as well as his many loving cousins, nieces, nephews and many other friends. The wake will be held on Tuesday 4/18 at Dooley Colonial Funeral Home at 556 Westfield Ave in Westfield NJ from 7:00pm until 9:00pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Michael’s name to Cancer Research Institute. https://www.cancerresearch.org/
