Obituary for Joseph N. DiBello Sr.

Joseph N.  DiBello Sr.
Joseph N. DiBello, Sr., age 84 of Warminster, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 12, 2017. Joe was born in Philadelphia and lived inNE Philly for 77 years. Serving in the U.S. Army during the time of the Korean War, he was honorably discharged. For 59 years he was a member of the American Legion Post 178, at 8041 Frankford Ave. He also owned an auto repair and inspection station on Frankford Ave and Welsh Road for over 40 years. In 2009, he moved to Christ's Home Retirement Community in Warminster, along with his loving wife Joan, to whom he was married for 47 wonderful years. On February 15, 1975 , Joe, with his precious wife Joan, became born - again followers of Jesus Christ. With encouragement from God's Word and his supportive wife, Joe became an evangelist preacher, sharing the love and forgiveness of God to those in the missions and prisons of the Philadelphia area. Joe's preaching touched the hearts of many in the in the missions and the convicts in and out of jail. Because of this boldness in proclaiming God's Word, the prisoners gave him the nickname of "Soul Food Joe " and" Tell it like it is Joe". Joe now joins his wife in heaven with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Joe leaves behind family members he loved: His children: Joseph ,Jr. MD ( Michele ), Michael ( Janet ), Anthony ( Lisa ), as well as Frank Chambers ( Phyllis ), and Joyce Britt ( Wayne ) ; His brother Nick ( Joan ) and their family; His many grandchildren and great grandchildren; His brother - in - law Harry Hoopes ( Marie ) and their family; as well as the families of his Deceased Siblings: the late Angelo, MD ( Matilda ), and his late sisters Amelia Lees and Dolores Bower ( James ) Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewings: Sunday, April 23, 2017, 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Monday, April 24, 2017, 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Kirk & Nice Suburban Chapel, 333 County Line Road, Feasterville, PA 19053. Graveside service to follow the Monday morning Viewing in Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions made in Joe's memory to " Alzheimer's Association " ( www.alz.org ) would be appriciated
