Raymond T. White, 90, of Longmont passed away April 15, 2017 at the Peaks Care Center surrounded by family and special caring staff.

He was born December 19, 1926 in Covington, Kentucky to Raymond T. White, Sr. and Ursa Barnes White.

Raymond enlisted in the United States Navy on November 1, 1944 and was Honorably Discharged with the rank of Quartermaster Third Class on August 15, 1946. He continued in the Naval Reserves until May 19, 1949.

On March 5, 1947 he married Marjorie Laursen in Rock Falls, Illinois. They moved to Boulder, Colorado in 1958 and finally to Longmont in 1999.

Raymond was an electrician and contract foreman. He owned and operated White Electric in Amboy, IL. from 1949 to 1958. After moving to Colorado he worked for Howard Electric in Denver and Rainbow Electric in Longmont and was a member of IBEW 68. He retired in 1988.

Raymond played semi-pro softball for the Sterling Boosters in Sterling, IL and was a volunteer fireman in Amboy, IL. He was a member of Boulder Elks Lodge #566 for over 60 years and also a member of the Evening Lions Club in Boulder.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting and traveling.

He was preceded in death by brother Robert and son-in-law E. J. Westback.

Raymond is survived by his wife Marjorie, daughters Cindy Westback and Terri O’Brien, grandson Tim Westback and wife Angie, great grandsons Ryan and Eric, brothers Roger White and Ronald White and his former son-in-law Pat O’Brien.

Memorial services will be held 1:30pm Friday, April 28, 2017 at the Ahlberg Funeral Chapel. A reception to follow at the Atria Senior Living at 3:00pm. Private family inurnment at Fort Logan National Cemetery. Cremation entrusted to Ahlberg Funeral Chapel and Crematory.
