Obituary for Eddie Carmel Johnson
Mr. Eddie Carmel Johnson, age 74 of McMinnville, Tennessee passed from this life to his heavenly home going on Tuesday, April 18, 2017, at Saint Thomas River Park Hospital in McMinnville, Tennessee.
Eddie was born on Sunday, April 18, 1943 in Smithville, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Frank Johnson and the late Martha ( Clemons) Johnson. He is the husband of Dorothy Dilldine Johnson.
Eddie was a member and former pastor of Faith Missionary Baptist Church in McMinnville, TN. Eddie loved the Lord and served him for many years.He also work at General Equipment as a mechanic for over twenty years.
Eddie is survived by his wife of 54 years Dorothy Johnson of McMinnville,TN, two sons, Eddie Johnson Jr. of McMinnville, TN, Jimmy Johnson and wife Bonnie of Wigham, GA, one brother, Kenneth Johnson, four sisters, Peggy Caldwell, Louise Martin, Mae Griffin, Trixie Linder.
10 Grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren and numerous foster children and many friends also survive.
Preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Martha Velma( Clemons )Johnson, one son, Jerry Johnson, one sister, Juanita Bates.
Memorial service for Mr. Eddie Carmel Johnson will be held at the Faith Missionary Baptist Church on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 5 PM with Carl Crowe officating.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 5 PM at the church.
Interment will be a private service at Horton Springs Cemetery in Smithville, TN.
