Obituary for George W. Kakule (Kakule)

George W. Kakule, 51, a former resident of Bennington and more recently of Schenectady, NY passed away peacefully Wednesday April 19, 2017 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady.

He was born in Troy, New York March 17, 1966. He was the son of the late George Kakule and Octavia (Ritter) Eldredge who survives.

George received his education in Bennington.

For several years, George has been employed as a counselor at the Schenectady City Mission. A job he thoroughly enjoyed. He loved to help people.

He was born on Saint Patrick’s Day so naturally his favorite color was green. He loved everything Irish, especially shamrocks. He enjoyed music and playing the harmonica.

Survivors include his son, Donald Kakule of Hoosick Falls, NY, a granddaughter Lyla Violet Kakule of Hoosick Falls. His mother and step father Octavia and Lloyd Eldredge of Myrtle Beach, SC, a brother Matthew Kakule of Bennington and three sisters, Donna Pacher of Chicopee, MA, Patty Canfield (Robert) of Bennington and Cindy Kakule of Schenectady. Along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may call at the Mahar and Son Funeral Home in Bennington on Sunday April 23 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
