Obituary for Archie Glen Cram
Archie Glen Cram, 91, of Missoula, passed away Monday, May 1, 2017, at St. Patrick Hospital, of natural causes.
He was born Jan. 23, 1926, in Almota, Washington, to Roy and Pearl Cram. He lived his younger years in eastern Washington and northern Idaho. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
On Jan. 5, 1946 he married Viola Marguerite McInroy in Clarkston, Washington. They continued to live in northern Idaho, later moving to Spokane, with a stint in 1953 in Anchorage and Palmer, Alaska. In 1961 he moved with his young family to Missoula where he established A&C Auto Wrecking which continues to thrive today as A&T Auto Recycling.
In 1962, he and his family joined the LDS church where he was an active member for the rest of his life. Archie was always known to be ready to lend a helping hand to anybody in need. He was a volunteer member of Missoula County Search and Rescue where he served, often employing his skills as a scuba diver.
Survivors include his wife of 71 years Viola, son Gary (Ana) Cram daughter Gayle (Terry) Verworn, daughter Melody Cram, daughter Wanda (Craig) Foust, grandchildren Kevin, Jason, Kristen, Lacey (Adrian), Lance, Kelli, (Jakob) Sam.
He is proceeded in death by his grand daughter Taylor.
Visitation will be on Sunday, May 7, 2-4 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home and again Monday, May 8, one hour prior to the funeral service at the LDS church, 3201 Bancroft St. at 11 a.m. Entombment in the mausoleum at Sunset Memorial Gardens will follow.
