The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Humberto Cabanas can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence: Dear Cousins and to Uncle Bert's Wife and Family,

My prayers and heartfelt condolences to all of you!

The happiest memories of my youth were spent in San Diego with my Grandparents or with Aunt Claudia and Uncle Bert, Aunt Katie and all of my Cousins. Honestly, I cannot relay how important those days were to me. The laughter, fun, the RC Cola, homemade ice cream, Chahto (uggg, spelling), and the best refried beans ever. Cruzing in the old car and "hauling biscuits" Plus so many more!

I am grateful for the memories and want to Thank and Honor Uncle Bert for being in my life!!

Again my love and prayers are with you all! My apologies for not being their in person.

With love,

Cousin Susan, Mark, Joel, Judy, Spencer and the beautiful Charlette

Condolence: Bert was a mentor for many people he worked with at UPS. I looked up to him as a young driver at UPS and then when I went into mgmt. I was lucky enough to be able to play golf with him after I retired. It was a very sad day when he had to stop golfing with us. He was a great man and taught a lot of young men his good values. My heart felt condolences to his family during this difficult time. RIP Bert, you will be greatly missed.
