Obituary for Archie James (Patrick)
Service for Archie James, 87, of Grand Prairie will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, May 20, 2017 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. The Reverend Jerry Moody will officiate. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Friday, at the funeral home.
Ms. Archie James passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2017 in Ft. Worth. She was born May 12, 1930 in Oletha, TX. She married Roy B. James, Sr. on March 11, 1946 in Rockwall County and he preceded her in death in 2005.
Archie was a homemaker and a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and a dear friend to many. She loved sewing, gardening and cooking. She was of the Christian faith.
Survivors include her beloved children, Rebecca Waters of San Marcos, Linda James and partner Kevin Aston of Palestine, Roy James, Jr. and wife Martha of Richland Hills, and Larry James and wife Jackie of Ferris; grandchildren, Tommy Rich, Julie Vicic and husband Billy, Roy James III, Kelly Olivares and husband Charles, Laura Waters, Mary VanZant, Krystal Jeffries, Charla James, Chantal James and Larry James II; great grandchildren, Nicholas, Isabelle, Jackson, Harrison, Margot and Aaron; two sisters-in-law, Eula Fay and Bertha; and many other relatives and friends who will miss her greatly. She was also preceded in death by her parents; one brother; and one sister.
