Obituary for William P. "Bill" Ohberg

William P. “Bill” Ohberg, of New Berlin and Mesa, Arizona, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at AngelsGrace hospice at the age of 81. Bill was born on September 10, 1935 in Waukesha, the son of Elmer and Evelyn Ohberg. He was part of the first graduating class of Catholic Memorial High School in 1953. Bill married the love of his life, Dorothy Barth in West Allis at St. Rita’s Catholic Church in 1957. He became a Land Surveyor in Waukesha County for many years and later was an Estimator for DeBack Grading until his retirement in 1998. After retirement, Bill and Dorothy moved to Mesa, Arizona and lived there for 20 years. They recently returned back home to Wisconsin. Bill loved playing Softball, Bocce Ball, Shuffleboard, shooting his pistol in the desert, and listening to Willie Nelson.
Bill will be missed by his wife of 60 years, Dorothy; children, William Robert (Beth Ellen), Michael John (Sandy), Thomas Paul (Lisa), Susan Marie (Ed) Finney, Barbara Ann (Scott) Bronkhorst, and Daniel James (Kristie); grandchildren, Rachel, Kayla, Tyler, Peter, Carolyn, Jack, Joe, and Luke; and one great-granddaughter, Isabelle. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Nancy Casper.
The visitation for Bill will be held on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at St. William Catholic Church, 440 N. Moreland Blvd. Waukesha, WI. 53188. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. The burial will immediately follow the Mass at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
