Obituary for Timothy Eric Young

Timothy Eric Young (Tim) was born on September 9, 1966 in Toledo, Ohio to Harold L. Young, Sr. and Reba Young. He was the youngest of their three boys. Tim grew up on Grand Avenue, attended Toledo Public Schools, and was a 1984 graduate of Macomber High School, where he learned the trade of auto mechanics. Tim took his skills to Ford Motor Company in 1992, where he eventually worked his way up to Production Team Leader. After over 20 years of skilled labor and hard work ethics, Tim was selected for the Tool and Die Program.

Tim was an avid gun collector with a sharp eye. However, Tim will always be remembered for his quick wit, and kind heart, not to mention his love of cooking and grand master skills on the grill.
Tim had three special ladies in his life.

With great joy, Tim raised a beautiful daughter, Tyler Young. She spent many hours by Tim’s side. During her teenage years, he spent lots of time coaching, teaching, and supporting Tyler’s love for basketball. Tyler and her dad also spent many hours playing an array of video games.

Through his unselfish devotion, Tim stayed by his mom’s (Reba Young) side throughout his life and was committed to making sure her needs were met and that she was provided for.

After 17 years of dating, on September 10, 2016, Tim finally married the love of his life, (and as Tim once said) that person who could almost finish his sentences, Adrena Sharay Hill. And of course, like Tim, she is a big Pittsburg Steelers fan.

Tragically, we lost him on May 18, 2017. He was preceded in death by his father, Harold L. Young, Sr. He is survived by his wife, Adrena Young, daughter, Tyler Young, stepsons, Richard Hill (Terria) and Charles Phoenix, mother, Reba Young, brothers, Clarence Young and Harold L. Young ll, 3 step grandchildren, 3 nephews, 6 great nieces and nephews, and a host of cousins, family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 26, 2017, from 7:00 - 9:00pm at the The Ark Church, 2500 Nebraska Ave.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 27, 2017, 12:00noon, preceded by an 11:00am Wake, at Braden United Methodist Church, 4725 Dorr St., Historic Woodlawn Cemetery.
