Arvel Leonard Pack, 87, of Stephenville, passed away Saturday, June 10, 2017 at his home in Stephenville.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at the Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Gary Williams officiating. Interment will follow at the West End Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Monday at the funeral home.

Arvel was born on November 12, 1929 in Erath County to the late Thomas Houston and Rosie McLaughlin Pack. He was a graduate of Lingleville High School and worked as a farmer and dairyman. Arvel married Mae Bell on April 26, 2007 in Oklahoma. Arvel was a lifelong resident of Erath County and a member of the Church of Christ.

Arvel was a hard worker and a strong Christian. He was a devoted family man who loved to sing and tell stories of his past. He had a huge heart and cared deeply about family and friends. It will be hard to fill his shoes and his memory will live on with us forever.

Survivors include his wife, Mae Bell Pack; daughter, Linda Edwards; son, Billy Weir; grandson, Colton Edwards; granddaughter Amanda Swatsell; great-grandsons, Jeffery, Matthew Leonard, and Blake Leonard Swatsell all of Stephenville; sons, Jimmy Don Pack and wife Marilyn, Scotty Pack and wife Betty, and Larry Pack all of Stephenville; and many other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
