Obituary for Sheree Johansen
Sheree M. Johansen of Burlington City passed away into God's loving and eternal care Saturday, June 10, 2017, at Samaritan Inpatient Hospice in Mt. Holly. She was 61.
Born in Mt. Holly, she lived in Florence many years before moving to Burlington 11 years ago. Sheree was employed as a cafeteria worker at the Lawrence School in Burlington for the last 10 years.
She enjoyed cooking and gardening and following the sports teams, Green Bay Packers and Philadelphia Phillies. She liked being on Facebook and watching TV shows especially cop shows and General Hospital, but the most precious thing for her was spending time with her grandchildren.
Daughter of the late George Sr. and Ida May (Clapper) Lee, she is survived by her husband of nearly 39 years, Kenneth W. Johansen Sr.; a daughter, Denise Barnes (James); two sons, Michael Johansen (Kelli) and David Johansen; and also a brother, George W. Lee Jr., and her seven grandchildren, Keith Simpkins, Julian, Chloe, Isabella and Michael Johansen Jr., and Aaliyah and Aiden Barnes.
The funeral will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, June 15, at the Dennison Funeral Home, 214 W. Front Street, Florence, where relatives and friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday (tonight) and from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday. Interment will be in the Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in North Hanover.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the family to help defray expenses.
