Richard (Dick) E. Jackson age 85, died unexpectedly on Saturday, June 10, 2017. Born July 28, 1931 in Mazomanie WI, to Amos & Alice (Poulda) Jackson, he graduated from Hollandale High School in 1951. Dick served in the United States Navy as a corpsman; he was a Korean War veteran. He married Donna Mae Glessner on June 2nd 1956, and they had 5 boys. Donna passed away on September 24, 1995. Dick then married Moya Marshall Narveson on May 27th 1996; she passed away November 27, 2016.
Dick lived in Janesville Wisconsin for many years before moving to Albertville Alabama. While living in Janesville he worked at General Motors for 32 years until retiring in April 1st, 1992. He was a member of Christ Episcopal Church in Albertville, was a Life Member of the V.F.W. Kienow-Hilt Post 1621, UAW Local 95, American Legion, Free & Accepted Mason, and Cousin Otto Clown Alley 22.
Dick will be especially remembered for being a clown and joking around. He loved playing cards, camping, and most of all his family & friends!
Survivors include; 5 sons Jerry, Wayne (Sherry), Steve (Susan), Randy (Felicity), Bob (Laine); 4 Step-Sons; Steven Narveson, Miles Narveson, Marshall (Janice), Chris (Tammy), 1 Step Daughter; Sarah (Francisco). 31 Grandchildren, 6 Great Grandchildren with the 7th one on the way, (nieces & nephews), special friends & his 4 legged companion Lilly. Dick was preceded in death by his parents Amos and Alice, 2 brothers Jerome and Ralph, and his 2 wife’s Donna and Moya.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at the WHITCOMB-LYNCH FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, with the Rev. David Boyd officiating. Entombment will follow in Milton Lawns Memorial Park Mausoleum. Visitation will take place from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. on Saturday at the FUNERAL HOME. In keeping with Dick’s nature, you are asked to come in nice casual attire!
