Age 92 of Fremont, passed away peacefully in her home June 10, 2017. Gene will be deeply missed by her three children Gilbert L. Rader of Tracy (June), Linda G. Meredith of Menifee (Mike) deceased, Charles G. Trivelpiece of Stockton (Sue). Gene was the dear daughter of Dwight and Elsie Bennett deceased. Dear wife of Charles Ed Trivelpiece deceased. Dear sister of Mervin Bennett deceased, Betty Fielding deceased, and Gilbert T. Bennett deceased. Gene was Grandmother of seven, Great-Grandmother of eighteen, and Great-Great Grandmother of three. Born in Denair California December 8, 1924, she grew up in Denair and Modesto California. She graduated from Modesto High School in the summer of 42. She worked at Norris Thermador during WWII and Kaiser Permanente. She and her husband Ed owned a bakery in Stockton in the 1950's. Gene worked at switchboard and clerical jobs and was an excellent bookkeeper. Her last job was working for the Shaklee Corporation, where she worked for ten years in the insurance benefits department. She loved animals and instilled this in her children. She is survived by her faithful cat Amber. She loved Big Band music and played the piano. As a teenager she once saw Frank Sinatra at The Worlds Fair on Treasure Island in San Francisco. She was an avid reader and loved See's Candies. Gene will always be remembered as a fantastic storyteller. She kept the stories of all the families alive. There will be a memorial Saturday July 22 at 1 P.M., to be held at Park View Cemetery and Funeral Home, 3661 E. French Camp Rd. Manteca, CA. A gathering of family and friends will follow at her home in Fremont, CA.
