I love this passage from “top of the World”….a book I’m sure you are familiar with…..Hans Ruesch is the author. From the first time I read this, I was inspired, and it is a good meditation for times like these. I hope your night with Georgia is peaceful.
“You have five days in which to weep all the tears worth weeping for anyone and to extol all the deeds anyone is able to accomplish. From now on, there shall be no more of that. This woman should be envied for the life she had, not pitied for its finish. All lives come to an end, and whether they end a little sooner or a little later, what matters, since they end? Whatever ends is short. Is it sad that life is short? No, for its shortness makes it valuable. And this woman made the most of hers.”
