Obituary for Howard Edwin Winchell

Died June 17, 2017. Mr. Winchell was born November 12, 1924 in Kalamazoo to Ralph and Ada (Upp) Winchell. He was a graduate of State High School. He served in the Air Force for 31 months during WWII. He was employed by the Upjohn Company for 36 years. On April 20, 1946, he married Mary E. McMillan in Lubbock, Texas. He is survived by children Valarie (Ronald) Oostindie of Kalamazoo and Marilyn (David) Burgie of Midland, MI.; two granddaughters Laurie (Ryan) McGuire and Christy (Raymond) Shepard and two great-granddaughters Payten and Madelyn. He also is survived by his brother Harold (Kay) Winchell and many nephews, nieces and cousins. Private services will be held for the family. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southwest Michigan or Rose Arbor Hospice.
