Obituary for Alan L. Schneider
Alan L. Schneider 85 of Mt. Pocono died on Sunday June 18, 2017 in the Gracedale Nursing Home in Nazareth. He was the loving husband of Delhi (Altamirano) Schneider with who he had celebrated 44 years of marriage.
Born in the Czech Republic he was the son of Ladislaw and Marenka (Schramka) Schneider. Alan was a resident of the Mt. Pocono area for the past 14 years and prior to that he resided in the Staten Island, N.Y. area. He was employed as a truck driver for banking companies in the New York City area for many years before retiring.
In addition to his wife he is survived by a son Alan V. Schneider of Mt. Pocono, Pa. and a step-son Juan Altamirano of Quakertown, Pa. and 3 grandchildren: Nicolas, Sonia and Jessica. He was preceded by a sister Miroslava Baez.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday June 21, 2017 at 12:00noon at the Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home Inc. 23 N. 9th.St.Stroudsburg, Pa. Burial will be in the Prospect Cemetery East Stroudsburg, Pa. The family will receive friends from 11:00am until the time of the services at the funeral home.
