Obituary for Theodore Cincotta

Theodore Cincotta
Theodore Joseph Cincotta, 89, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on June 17, 2017 at the McClure Miller VNA Respite House in Colchester, VT following a long illness.

Ted was born on January 6, 1928 in Brooklyn, New York, the son of Joseph and Mary Cincotta. Ted was raised in Brooklyn with his three brothers, and is also where he met and married his wife of 60 years, Carol Barberi. Ted moved his family to Vermont in 1964 to start working for Beltone Hearing Aids. He eventually opened his One Hour Martinizing Dry Cleaning business in Essex Junction, VT and operated it until he retired in 1987. Ted fully enjoyed his retirement by doing what he always wanted to do when his working days were over: traveling, woodworking, reading the great philosophers, and doting on his grandchildren

Ted is survived by his loving wife Carol, and his children: Jerome Cincotta and his wife Suzanne of Riverside, CT, John Cincotta and his wife Denise of Essex Junction, VT, Marianne Cincotta of Watertown, MA, Gerard Cincotta and his wife Ginny of Essex Junction, VT, and Elizabeth Cincotta, and her fiancé John Battaglino, Jr. of Boston, MA. Ted is also survived by 10 grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He will also be dearly missed by his sole surviving brother, Robert Cincotta, and his wife Jean

In addition to his parents, Ted was predeceased by his brothers, Brother Jerome Cincotta, SDB and Eugene Cincotta

The family would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Dr. George Atweh, Dr. Scott Lauria, and the many doctors and nurses who helped care for Ted. You are an amazing group…!

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Ted’s memory may be made to McClure Miller VNA Respite House of Colchester, VT https://www.vnacares.org/hospice-care/mcclure-miller-vna-respite-house/

There will be a funeral mass celebrating Ted’s life held at Christ the King Church on June 23, 2017 at 12:00pm. All other services will be held at the convenience of the family
