The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Martha Whitworth can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence From: Robert "Bobby" Slatton
Condolence: It's taken a few days for Martha's passing to find it's place with me. Martha and I rode the school bus (as with most of her family and others) for nine years, plus all the school house time. Martha was always a "Lady". She was tough as nails, but so loving at the same time. The Medley family is what I consider to be "Salt of the Earth". You just can't beat'em. I love each and everyone of them. Their father came to my rescue at a very convenient time (pretty much saved my butt) I never got to thank him. I was young and dumb. Take a moment and look at the photo I've uploaded of the Rainbow around the sun. I took this the day of Martha's passing. Never seen this kind of thing before. And I've seen a lot in my life. After hearing of Martha's passing that morning I was mowing and doing a lot of "soul searching". Something told me to look up. It was a hot, bright day. I done as I was told. And there it was. The most peaceful feeling came over me as I was thinking of Martha and looking at that rainbow. Not a drop of a rain to be found. The only way I can describe it is, Martha was saying I'm O.K. now. God has his way of doing things. She will be missed. Nuff' said.
