Obituary for Nancy Martha "Anastasia" Huculak

One June 22, 2017, Nancy (Stodola) Huculak passed away peacefully at the age of 98 years.
Nancy is survived by her daughter, Bernice Townsend of Edmonton; son, Dennis Huculak (Gill) of Calgary, grandchildren, Leanne, Craig, Robert, Nicole, Danah, Christine and Lindsay; fourteen great grandchildren; siblings, Stan Stodola of Osoyoos, Steve (Stella) Stodola and Joe (Olga) Stodola of Lamont, Doris Pukalo of Redwater, Stella Meyer of Star, Augustine (Dale) Hughes of Penticton, Vicky (Dan) Martinuik of Edmonton, and Julian (Pat) Stodola of Kamloops. She was predeceased by her husband, John Huculak; parents, Anton and Mary Stodola; three sisters; two brothers; and son-in-law, Kenn Townsend.
Nancy was proud to be a farmer’s daughter and had many happy memories of growing up near Skaro as the eldest of thirteen. After Nancy and John were married in 1938 they lived in Edmonton and were both heavily involved with activities in the Holy Rosary Polish Catholic Parish and their many friends. She loved and enjoyed her family, her church, her garden and cooking for all.
Special thanks to the staff of Lamont Health Care Centre Auxiliary for the amazing care they gave Nancy for the past three years.
Funeral Mass Wednesday, June 28 at 1:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel Roman Catholic Church, Skaro Shrine with interment in the Church Cemetery. In lieu of other tributes, donations made be made to the charity of one’s choice or the Lamont Health Care Centre, Box 479, Lamont, AB T0B 2R0
