Obituary for Jimmie R. Trent

Jimmie R. Trent, 85, of Clarksburg, WV (Northview Community), passed away on Friday, June 30, 2017 at home. He was born in Clarksburg on June 5, 1932, a son of the late Amos R. and Margaret J. (Boyce) Trent. Jimmie is survived by his wife of 65 years, Loraene (Husk) Trent.

In addition to his wife Mr. Trent is survived by two sons: Jimmie R. Trent Jr. and wife Sandra of Ritchie County, and Charles A. Trent and companion Norma Drain of Gypsy; three grandchildren: Jason R. Trent and wife Amanda of West Union, Lesley L. Hinzman and fiancé Gary Stephenson of Clarksburg, and Charles J. Trent; four great-grandchildren: Autumn Hinzman of Clarksburg, Connor Hinzman of Clarksburg, Alexis Trent of Ritchie County, and Anna Trent of West Union; one brother, Robert J. Trent of Bridgeport; one sister, Becky Trent Colley of Clarksburg; and his beloved dog and faithful companion, “Mosey.”

In addition to his parents Jimmie was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Theresa Lynn Trent, and one brother, Ronnie Trent.

Jimmie was a graduate of WI, and later retired from Anchor Hocking as a production manager. Mr. Trent was a member of the Stonewood Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, and was very faithful to his church as well as his family. Jimmie especially loved his grand kids and spending time with them. He was very work oriented, enjoyed watching various tv shows, and was an avid car lover.

Family and friends will be received at the Davis-Weaver Funeral Home 329 E. Main Street Clarksburg, WV, on Sunday, July 2, 2017 from 4 until 8pm. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 3, 2017 at the funeral home at 11am with Rev. Ken Kelley presiding. Interment will follow at the South Fork Baptist Church Cemetery.
