Obituary for Shirley E. Lavender
Shirley E. Lavender, 92, of Neptune, died Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at Neptune Gardens in Neptune.
Born in New York City and lived in Long Branch, Oakhurst, Pocono, PA and Jackson before moving to Neptune 8 years ago.
Predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Irving in 2008; her parents, Buford Vincent and Frieda Blum Vincent Becker and her stepfather, Benjamin Becker and her siblings, Arthur and James Vincent and Alice Mayo.
Surviving are her sons, Neil and his wife Maureen Lavender and Daniel and his wife Joyce Lavender; 2 sisters, Irene Bry and Sheila Bertrand and 8 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to a funeral service at 11 am Friday at Fiore Funeral Home, 882 Broadway, West Long Branch. Burial will follow at Monmouth Fields in West Long Branch. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memoru may be made to D.E.B.R.A. of America, 75 Broad Street, Suite 300, New York, NY 10004 or via their website at: https://www.debra.org/give.
