The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Constance Hembree can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

GRADUATION PARTY 2016

I sure hope my son, who is pictured in this graduation photo(he's the little one) will have such fond memories of Connie Hembree as I do.  She worked with my son for three years, but knew him I'm guessing most of his life through school events.  She worked one on one with Nicholas in his 8th grade year.  She worked with him through Howell PALS And through the STAR program on Thursday nights.  Connie was well aware of Nicholas' skills and didn't stop working with him until she received the appropriate response.  Watching her work with my son, (who is non-verbal) and the plethora of other children she worked with was truly an inspiration.  She had genuine love for all the children she worked with and strived for them to do all that they could do.  Howell PAL on Monday afternoons will certainly miss Connie when they resume again in the fall.  Thank you to the famiy for sharing Connie with my son and the rest of the special needs community in so many ways.
